Based on several projects of public health in different settings and personal service activities, I have a strong interest in the health and welfare of others. I recognized the different between the areas of health, environment, global discord overlap, and social justice led me to some important changes in my life to make.

If our job is to help others and improve the world, it is particularly important that we can make our own health and well-being. Fortunately, there are several ways that we can do both simultaneously! In fact, many habits to benefit our health or the environment also have personal financial benefits.

Apart uncontrollable factors such as genetics and injuries, we are generally a greater chance of a long and productive if we maintain our own health actively. This gives us more time to make our vision of the world and share our gifts with others to leave and pursue a lasting legacy.

But we sometimes neglected, while saving the world. In situations where the focus is on helping the others, I saw and heard many examples of people who do not provide the care that they deserve.

After his return from a trip to assess the health needs of tsunami victims, a colleague told me that exhibited signs of stress for many workers in professional help. Many, he observed, seemed very concerned and engaged in behaviors such as smoking at very high levels. The trauma surrounding them took a toll. I also noticed a lot of talent in visibly poor health (including doctors) in health and social situations in which poor health is also a common problem for customers.

So, what can we do to save more for ourselves and the world? Apart from addressing the obvious factors such as work in the week working with high-stress environments, there are a number of ways.

First, we can create benefits to health just for us, by generously to others in our own unique way. This should have no money, can I thank it for the friendship with someone to share an artistic talent, or even lending a sympathetic ear. Outside satisfy us and make us happy, so that actually improve our health and longevity.

-Give a high school student predicted good physical and mental health until 50 years later, in late adulthood.
-To give and help others, to reduce mortality in older adults, depression and suicide risk in adolescents.
-Giving is more powerful than the entrance to the reduction of mortality.

Note These powerful effects, Post and Neimark, it can through a variety of mechanisms. Giving increases our feelings of self efficacy, we can forget the stress in our lives, we can forgive our own mistakes, and reinforce our sense of belonging to a community of support larger.
